improvements in writing

I know that I need to improve on expanding my writing. I need to be able to expand my ideas in order to achieve the correct number of pages that are required for final papers. I need to increase the amount of prewriting techniques in order to produce quality papers. I will also try to have others proofread my papers when complete in order to have more feedback and opinions of what may need to be changed. I am just hoping to improve my writing overall.

Writing

I feel the same about writing as I did when we first started. I am glad that this class is over. I still do not like to write. My mind and body are both tired at this point. I do not want to research anything else unless I have to. I do not mind reading articles relating to certain medical conditions. Reading certain articles helps me learn more about myself and what my body goes through. I must say it again, I am glad that this class is over.

The only thing that I have struggled with during this course is making sure that all of my papers are turned in on time. I am also struggling with trying to work overtime at work and balance home life with school. I am not going to continue to blog after this class. I only did the blog because this class required it.

peer review

I have not had much experience with peer review. In a previous class, one of my peers had a problem with what I said about her initial post. I listened to her response and never responded to any of her posts again. I think that peer review is a good thing so that you can get an honest opinion from all ages.

Some posts are very influential later in life. When you take the time to go back and read what you wrote, sometimes it helps to make things come into perspective. Things you randomly write usually come straight from your heart of what you want to say at that time. Some of the things you say depend on how your feeling at that time or may reflect the things you are going through in life.

My writing style is just jump in and do it. Even though I may try to do some of the prewriting techniques, I usually end up just writing. This is a major academic challenge for me. I know that I need to do better at writing, but I actually do not like to write. I am more of a voice person. I would rather speak about what I want to say instead of write about it. School is putting a strain on my life at this time. I am currently holding down a full time job with some requirements of overtime towards the end of the month, still banquet serving when I am needed, and being a mother and girlfriend. I know that once I am done with school, the payout will be good for me and my family.

I have had people take credit for my ideas and not say anything to me about them. They never suggested that I came up with the idea or mentioned my name. It does not feel good when others take credit for things that you have created whether it is an idea to make work easier or a routine to use in a show. I would rather give anyone the credit for what they have said or idea they came up with just to make sure they get the credit they deserve.

The way people act towards others when they think that they are better than is just amazing to me. I just try to look at how people act towards others and in different situations to see their mannerisms. The things that people say can reflect on what type of person they are and how they want to be portrayed.

kids

Kids are just so funny some days. They always seem to think that the world revolves around them. The kids these days, do not know how to play outside or play by themselves. I think that the technology age has spoiled everyone including adults. Technology has spoiled children the most with all the different gaming systems and automatic spell correction on papers. The average child does not know how to spell or write correctly. I think that school needs to start back teaching kids how to spell and write correctly once again.

People

Have you ever wondered how two people communicate or get along? I think that it is all about compromise. Not one person can say that they have never compromised on something in life and that they never will. Things in life are complicated and no one has the correct answer.
